He studied philosophy and clasical philology at the universities of Toronto, Oxford, Cambridge and Heidelberg. As Viceminister of Defense for Foreign Policy and Foreign Affairs from 2006 to 2009, he spearheaded policies for demobilization, human rights and territorial consolidation, among others. By the age of 46, he had been an advisor to the Ministry of Foreing Relations in charge of the Diplomacy for Peace, Political Advisor to the Colombian Embassy in France, Strategic and Political Affairs advisor for the National Defense Ministry in charge of writing and developing the Democratic Security and Defense Policy, Director of the Foundación Ideas para la Paz (Ideas for Peace Foundation), and Senior National Security Adviser. He participated in the exploratory meetings as a plenipotentiary representative of the Colombian government.

He received a bachelor’s in economics at the Universidad de Los Andes where he also did postgraduate degrees in Finance and Financial Law. He received a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University. By the age of 50, Pearl had been an associate consultant for McKinsey & Co in the United States, Venezuela and Brazil, and until september of 2006, he was President of Valorem S.A. That year, he began his public career as High Commissioner for Peace, a position he held until 2010. In December 2011, he was named Minister of the Environment and Sustainable development. He participated in the exploratory meetings as plenipotentiary representative of the national government.

- Jaime Alberto Parra Rodríguez (Mauricio Jaramillo o Mauricio el Médico)
A member of the Communist Youth of Colombia (JUCO) and a medical surgeon, he joined the FARC-EP in 1979 as part of the 9th Front of La Dorada (Caldas). Coordinator for the FARC-EP hospital system, he was deputized as a reserve member of the Secretariat in 2008 after the death of nom-de-guerre Raúl Reyes, and in 2010, he was named commandor of the Eastern Block of the FARC-EP. He participated in the exploratory meetings as a plenipotentiary representative of the FARC-EP.
- Jesús Emilio Carvajalino Carvajalino (Andrés París)
A member of the Communist Youth of Colombia (JUCO) until the mid-1980’s, he later joined the FARC-EP in 1982 as a party cadre, arriving directly in Casa Verde as a political instructor for the leadership training course. He became a member of the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central) and the FARC-EP’s International Commission. He was a FARC-EP delegate to the peace summits in Venezuela and Mexico. Later, he was a member of the Cagúan Thematic Committee under Manuel Marulanda Vélez’s recommendation. He was sent abroad in the early 90s as a member of FARC-EP’s International Commission, and after the failure of the Caguán peace process, he was designated as political advisor to the Eastern Block. He participated in the preparatory assemblies and exploratory meetings as a plenipotentiary representative of the FARC-EP.

Chief of the FARC-EP’s foreign affairs, also known as the “FARC’s chancellor.” He joined the FARC-EP after serving as a member of the Patriotic Union party where he was a candidate for the municipal council of Frontino, Antioquia. He joined the 34th Front and was later dispatched to Casa Verde in 1986 for training. In 2011, he was deputized as a reserve member of the Secretariat, a member of the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central) and a member of the FARC-EP’s International Commission. He participated in the preparatory assemblies and exploratory meetings as a plenipotentiary representative of the FARC-EP.

He received a bachelor’s in International Relations and Philosophy from Hamilton College, United States. He studied his master’s in International Relations and s specialization in International Security Policies and Problem Solving at the School of International and Public Affairs of Columbia University, New York. With lengthy experience in the private sector, he has served as Financial Analyst at the New York office for Deutsche Bank’s Latin American corporate finance group, and as New Business Analyst for Manuelita S.A. He has worked in Company Social Responsability projects as a member of the Board of Directors for Fundación Corona, which promotes education, health, employment opportunities and community strength projects. In 2007, he became a political advisor and manager for the International Relations and Cooperation Unit of the High Office for Reintegration (ACR in spanish), an entity that was later transformed into the Colombian Agency for Reintegration, where he has been director since 2010 and where he developed a strategy for internationalizing disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR) and programs for preventing the recruitment of children and teenagers into ilegal armed groups. He participated in the preparatory assemblies and exploratory meetings as a national government delegate.

An optometrist from the Universidad de La Salle with a master’s in Health Administration from the Javeriana University, he has served as a university professor of public health and epidemiology. At Bogotá’s Secretary of Health, he led the Promotion and Prevention Program and was the epidemiology director. For the national government, he served as Chief of Inmunizations for the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, as National Coordinator for Emergency Prevention and Reversals for the Presidential Social Action and International Cooperation Agency, and as Coordinator for the National Consolidation Plan of the Presidency of the Republic. He participated in the preparatory assemblies and exploratory meetings as a national government delegate.

A sociologist with postgraduate studies in Conflict Management and Resolution, specializing in negotiation strategies, she worked for eight years at Fundación Buen Gobierno (Good Government Foundation) and was programming director for Juan Manuel Santos’ presidential campaign. In 1986, he became part of the FARC-EP’s Secretariat, the organization’s highest executive body, and later, in 1993, he was assigned to lead the Magdalena Medio Block of the FARC-EP. In November 2011, after nom-de-guerre Alfonso Cano was killed in action, he is named the high commander of FARC-EP. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 364 of December 12, 2014.

A Ph.D. in Law with experience in public affairs and policy, constitutional law and administrative law. As Minister of Government, he represented the interests of the existing Colombian Government in the Constitutional Assembly that issued the 1991 Constitution. As Colombia’s ambassador to the OAS from 2001 to 2003, he presided over the deliberations that led to the approval of the Inter-American Democratic Charter of the OAS. He was elected to serve as Vice President of Colombira from 1996 to 1998. He has also served as university professor, Supreme Court Justice, Ambassador to Spain, Ambassador to the UK, Minister of the Interior, and Director of the National Civil Registry. He participated at the Negotiating Table as head of the national government delegation.

Joining the FARC-EP in the mid-1970s, he became part Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central) and its Secretariat, thus becoming responsible for the FARC-EP’s operations in the Caribbean region and head of the Caribbean Block. In 1986, he was elected as an alternate deputy for the Patriotic Union party (UP) in the House of Representatives for the department of Caquetá. He was designated as a member of the Secretariat in 1989. He served as a FARC-EP delegate at the peace summits in Venezuela and Mexico. He was First Commander of the Southern Block, leading incursions into the departments of Putumayo and Amazonas. He participated at the Negotiating Table as chief of the FARC-EP delegation. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 350 of September 21, 2012.

- General (ra) Jorge Enrique Mora Rangel
Army General (R) with 42 years of active service who studied Military Sciences at the General José María Córdova Military Cadet School, specializing in Public Administration and Senior Management, recipient of an honorary degree in Business Administration from the Sergio Arboleda University and Director of the Center for Regional Strategic Studies of the same university. An expert on strategy, security and national defense, he has been High Security Advisor for the Governor of Cundinamarca. He has been an academic advisor in economics for the Continental Defense Course at the Inter-American School of Defense in Washington, D.C. General commander of the military on 2003, he planned and executed the “Patriot Plan” that dealt a powerful blow to illegal armed groups. He was the National Army Commander from 1998 to 2002, a period when he led a restructuring of the army. At 67 years old, he served as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to South Korea and the Philippines. He has also served as Defense Minister and Director of Colombia’s Superior School of War. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the national government.
- General (ra) Óscar Adolfo Naranjo Trujillo
National Police General (R), graduate of the General Francisco de Paula Santander Police Academy, he served as Director of the National Police from 2007 to 2012, after which he was celebrated as the best policeman in the world by the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He managed the creation of the Police Inteligence Directorate (DIPOL in spanish) and was Director of the Criminal Investigation Directorate (DIJIN in spanish). He also led strategic operations like the neutralization of FARC-EP leaders nom-de-guerre “Raúl Reyes” and nom-de-guerre “El Mono Jojoy” and the capture of nom-de-guerre “Martín Sombra”. In addition, he served as Commander of the Special Operations Center (COPES in spanish), representative of Colombia’s national police in Great Britain, Metropolitan Police Commander in Santiago de Cali, and in 2007, manager for the formation of the American Police Community (AMERIPOL in spanish). He participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the national government.
- Gonzalo Restrepo López
Businessman from the department of Antioquia with studies in Business Administration and an MBA in marketing, he started his business career in a family company and then went on to manage Caribú International. He was managed of Éxito stores and was part of Proantioquia and Ecopetrol’s Boards of Directors. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the national government beginning May 27, 2015.
- Roy Leonardo Barreras Montealegre
A medical doctor, he worked as a college professor and began his political career in 1992. In 2016, he was elected as a Representive in the House of Representatives for the Valle del Cauca department. He also served as a senator, where he led the reform for the Statutory Law for healthcare. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the national government beginning April 20, 2016.
- Luis Carlos Villegas Echeverri
Lawyer with a master’s in Public Administration from the Paris University II, since the beginning of his career, he has held high positions within the public and private sector, most notably: as president of ANDI, Colombian Ambassador to Washington D.C., Defense Minister, Economic Advisor to the Colombian embassy in Paris, Governor of Risaralda, Secretary General of the National Coffee Grower’s Federation, and a member of the Ecopetrol’s Board of Directors. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the national government until november 26, 2013.
- María Paulina Riveros Dueñas
Lawyer from the Universidad Externado de Colombia with a master’s in Insurance Law from Javeriana University, she has been Human Rights Director for the Ministry of the Interior. In the public sector, Riveros was part of the government delegation to the hearings by the Inter-American Human Rights Commission where Colombia ratified the legal guarantees for peaceful social protest. She was also Viceminister for Participation and Equal Rights. She worked in the Law Enforcement area of the Government of Cundinamarca from 2009 to 2010. At the Attorney General’s Office, she served as special prosecutor for Domestic Affairs, judicial attorney and Director of the Center for Reconciliation. She was also legal advisor of the Office of the High Commission for Peace from August 2003 to December 2005. From 1996 to 1997, she was head of the Center for Information on Criminal Activities (CISAD) where she handled information about arrest warrants, detentions and convictions. In the private sector, she worked as a consultant for penal and financial legal matters. She participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the national government beginning on november 26th, 2013 and was a member of the Gender Subcomission for the government delegation.
- Nigeria Rentería Lozano
Lawyer from the La Gran Colombia University in Bogotá with a specialization in Contested Administrative Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia and a candidate for a master’s in Political Science and Democratic Leadership from the Institute of High European Studies. She has served in both the public and private sector. She was a mixed-jursidiction judge in the department of Chocó, senior officer of the Judiciary Tribunal of Quibdó on two separate occasions, second administrative judge of Quibdó, government secretary for the Mayor’s Office of Quibdó and Women’s Consultant in Cali. In 2012, she returned to the Colombian Institute for Family Wellbeing (ICBF in spanish) as Differential Perspective Advisor to the General Director and to the Regional Director for Chocó. She was High Advisor for Women’s Equity. She participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the national government from November 26th, 2013 to October 23rd, 2014.

Political Scientist with postgraduate degrees in Public Management and in Administrative Institutions, Diplomacy and Strategy. She was private secretary for the Attorney General, director of the Latin American branch of the Worldview International Foundation and the Andean Development Corporation. She built a long career in diplomacy and international relations as Chief of Cabinet for the Ministry of International Relations, as ambassador to Venezuela to address the UN and the chancellor. She participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the national government beginning May 27, 2015.

Later, he became a member of the Secretariat’s “body of assistantships.” In the 1990s, he began working in the FARC-EP’s foreign affairs and settled in Mexico. He became a member of the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central) and the FARC-EP’s International Commission. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the FARC-EP. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 350 of September 21, 2012.
- Seuxis Paucias Hernández Solarte (Jesús Santrich)
Joining the FARC-EP’s 19th Front in the late 1980s, he then became a member of its directorate. He was in charge propaganda work and was the former director of the radio station “Voice of the Resistance” (Voz de la Resistencia) for the Caribbean Block. He was present for the launch of the Bolivarian Movement in 2000 at the Caguán demilitarized zone. He was a member of the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central). He participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the FARC-EP. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 350 of September 21, 2012.
- Milton de Jesús Toncel Redondo (Joaquín Gómez)
A member of the the Communist Youth of Colombia (JUCO) and of the National High School Student Union (UNES), he then left the country for the Soviet Union. Upon his return, he joined the FARC as a political cadre from the Colombian Communist Party (PCC) in 1981. As a result of the 1984 peace agreements, he joined the Patriotic Union party and began organizing in areas influenced by the 1st and 16th Fronts. He participated in the Caguán peace negotiations from 1999 to 2002. He was deputized as a reserve member of the Secretariat in 2003 and as a full member in 2008. A member of the FARC-EP for 39 years, a member of the Secretariat since 2010, and leader of the FARC’s urban commandos, he paticipated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the FARC-EP. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 305 of October 16, 2014.
- Pablo Catatumbo Torres Victoria (Pablo Catatumbo)
He Joined the FARC-EP in the late 70s. As chief of the 31st Front, in 1991 he was appointed by the Simón Bolivar Coordinated Guerillas (CBSB) as a representative of the FARC-EP for the peace talks in Caracas, Venezuela. He participated in the Caguán peace negotiations during the 1999-2002 period. A member of the Secretariat and the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central), he coordinated the Western Joint Command (the “Alfonso Cano Block”) and was in charge of the Bolivarian Movement for a New Colombia. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative for the FARC-EP. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 092 of April 3, 2013.
- José Lisandro Lascarro (Pastor Alape)
A member of the Communist Youth of Colombia (JUCO) in Puerto Berrío, Antioquia, he joined FARC’s 12th front in 1981, and in 1986, he was sent as a political cadre to the Hernando González Acosta School. He then proceeded to join Jacobo Arenas’ personal guard, receiving political training; he returned to the Hernando González Acosta School as an instructor. After his time in the 45th and 52nd Fronts, in 1992 he was commissioned by the FARC-EP’s Secretariat to evaluate the situation in the department of Cundinamarca as the key axis for a Strategic Deployment Centre. In June of the same year, he recommended the creation of several more fronts that could be able to siege the capital (Bogotá). He was a member of the Secretariat and the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central) and was in charge of the Mid Magdalena Block. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the FARC-EP. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 288 of October 01, 2014.

He received a bachelor’s in International Relations and Philosophy from Hamilton College, United States. He studied his master’s in International Relations and s specialization in International Security Policies and Problem Solving at the School of International and Public Affairs of Columbia University, New York. With lengthy experience in the private sector, he has served as Financial Analyst at the New York office for Deutsche Bank’s Latin American corporate finance group, and as New Business Analyst for Manuelita S.A. He has worked in Company Social Responsability projects as a member of the Board of Directors for Fundación Corona, which promotes education, health, employment opportunities and community strength projects. In 2007, he became a political advisor and manager for the International Relations and Cooperation Unit of the High Office for Reintegration (ACR in spanish), an entity that was later transformed into the Colombian Agency for Reintegration, where he has been director since 2010 and where he developed a strategy for internationalizing disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR) and programs for preventing the recruitment of children and teenagers into ilegal armed groups. She was a coordinator in charge of clandestine and infiltration operations at universities in Bogotá, Neiva, Ibagué and Pereira. She was in charge of organizing and directing political activities for the Fronts of the Central Joint Command. Before being called to the delegation, she was a member of the General Staff of the Central Joint Command. She was very close to nom-de-guerres Alfonso Cano and Pablo Catatumbo. She participated at the Negotiating Table as a FARC-EP delegate and was a member of the Gender Subcommission for the FARC-EP delegation. - José Benito Cabrera (Fabián Ramírez)
A member of the Communist Youth of Colombia (JUCO), he joined the FARC-EP in the early 80’s as part of the 1st Front. Then he moved to security for the Southern Block. He was also in the 13th and 14th Fronts. His military training was acquired through guerrilla practice. He was in charge of the 14th Front for over twelve years and was involved in combat against paramilitaries in the departments of Caquetá and Putumayo. He participated in the El Caguán peace talks and was in charge of developing a proposal for substituting ilegal crops in Cartagena del Chairá. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a delegate for the FARC-EP until July 23, 2015. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 036 of February 20, 2014.
- Yoiner García Moreno (Jairo Martínez)
Having joined the 17th Front in 1986, he remained in the South Block. He also served in the 14th, 15th, and 17th Fronts and the security detail for nom-de-guerre Joaquín Gómez. In the El Caguán peace talks, he was part of the Subject Commitee, but his main function was to oversee work in the Public Hearing Commission. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a FARC-EP delegate until October 16, 2014. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 036 of February 20, 2014.

Having joined the 5th Front in 1980, in the Apartadó region near La Resbaloza. In 1985, he was sent to La Caucha to take political-organizational actions for strengthening the Patriotic Union party in the Urabá zone. In the 1986 elections, the Patriotc Union received a majority of the votes for city councils in Apartadó and Mutatá; in the first mayoral elections in 1988, the party won both mayorships and the majority of the representational seats in the Arboretes Council. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a FARC-EP delegate until July 23, 2015. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 288 of October 1, 2014.

Having joined the 26th Front when he was 15 years old, he passed through the 26th, 27th, 40th, 51st and 53rd Fronts to later lead larger units like the Ariari and Paramuna that operated in the department of Meta and the southeastern part of Cundinamarca. He was a pupil of nom-de-guerre El Mono Jojoy. Romañan was in charge of the FARC-EP’s Finance Commission in Cundinamarca and was second in command for a mixed structure containing the 31st, 51st, 53rd, 54th and 55th Fronts and the Che Guevara mobile column which was under the command of nom-de-guerre Zarco Aldinever, a unit that was part of the Eastern Block. He participated at the Negotiation Table as a FARC-EP delegate. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks through Resolution No. 305 of October 16, 2014.

Joining the FARC-EP’s 7th Front in 1979, he was part of the Martin Villa units that formed for the expansion phase that began after the VII Conference in 1982. In the beggining, he was always very closely associated with Hernán Benítez, with whom trained as a guerilla. In 1989, he was appointed to be Commander of the emerging 39th Front that he managed to expand and strengthen. In 1991, he was transferred to the 31st Front in Cundinamarca. He was Chief of the Manuel Cepeda mobile column. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a FARC-EP delegate. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks through Resolution No. 305 of October 16, 2014.

In the 1970’s he was a member of the Communist Youth of Colombia (JUCO), where he served with Catatumbo, Felix Corredor and Jaime Caycedo among others. In 1991, he joined the Manuel Cepeda Vargas Front, under the command of “J.J.,” where he did political work with students and militias in Siloé. He went to jail in 1998 and escaped to join the 6th Front where he was put in charge of a new project with indigenous people. In 2000, he went to the demilitarized zone and took a course in radio station management and propaganda. In 2001, he went to the western part of Colombia with Cano, Christian Pérez and Marcos Yarí. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a FARC-EP delegate. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks through Resolution No. 305 of October 16, 2014.

Having jouned the FARC’s 5th Front in 1987, in 1994 he transferred to the 18th Front where he became Company Commander. He participated in the Units called “the project” to build what was going to be the Aurelio Rodríguez Front and in 1999 arrived in the department of Caldas to direct the 47th Front. In 2005, he became commander of the 47th Front. He participated at the Negotiation Table as a FARC-EP delegate. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 080 of May 14, 2015.
- Israel Alberto Zúñiga Iriarte (Benkos Biojó)
Joining the urban work of the 19th Front with “Peter” in 1999, that same year he was transferred to the department of Chocó where becomes part of the Miller Perdomo Unit. In 2000, he arrives in the 57th Front as to lead organizing the masses. He participated at the Negotiation Table as a FARC-EP delegate. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 080 of May 14, 2015.
- Miguel Santillana Botache (Gentil Duarte)
Joining the 1st Front in 1981, he worked closely with Jorge Briceño and remained aasociated with him throughout his time in the FARC-EP. He completed all of the FARC-EP education, beginning with basic guerilla training. In the early 90’s, he became head of 7th Front and remained in that position until the peace talks. He participated at the Negotiation Table as a FARC-EP delegate. He was formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks by Resolution No. 080 of May 14, 2015.

A woman from the department of Guajira who was deplaced to the banana producing area of the Magdalena in the 1980’s. In 2000, the paramilitaries murdered her uncle and two cousins, threatened her family and forced her to move to Santa Marta. She was also a victim of sexual violence by the paramilitaries. Cousin of subliutenant of the anti-narcotics police, Alexander Zambrano, who was kidnapped by the FARC-EP in the guerrilla takeover of Miraflores on August 3, 1998 and who was released in June, 2001. Wife of Pablo Antonio Beltrán Palomino, a judge appointed to the Judicial District of San Gil, Santander. He was murdered in the La Rochela Massacre on January 18, 1989, along with eleven more judicial functionaries.

Kidnapped on September 10, 2001 on the road between Hobo and Campoalegre, department of Huila, by members of the Teófilo Forero FARC-EP Column, when she was representative in the House of Representatives for that department. In January 2008, she was released thanks to the efforts of former senator Piedad Córdoba and former Venezuelan president, Hugo Chávez, along with Clara Rojas. Kidnapped by the 26th Front of the FARC-EP on July 15, 2001 in the Lejanías municipality, department of Meta. He was abducted when he was 44 years-old, having already completed his term as governor of Meta, having served as a consultant to the United Nations, and several weeks after declaring his interest in registering as a congressional candidate. According to the information delivered by the National University, the PNUD and the Episcopal Conference, she was captured and acused of being a member of FARC-EP by men who identified themselves as members of the National Army at a farm in the municipality of Planadas, department of Tolima, on July 16, 2008. Despite being pregnant, she was beaten and forced to walk for long hours, which caused the death of her son. Member of the Patriotic Union party (UP in spanish) who recieved several death threats and suffered an attack in 1996 that forced her into exile in Switzerland. Son of Jose Eduardo Umaña Mendoza, lawyer and human rights defender. His father was a lawyer with lengthy experience known for his defense of the victims of forced dissappearance, among them, the victims of the Palace of Justice Siege. He also defended victims from the Patriotic Union party, the Communist Party and multiple union members. His grandfather and uncle were murdered by the paramilitaries, his Kankuamo people have been displaced, and many of their leaders murdered. Sister of Milton Bayuelo, who died on June 15, 1998 in a paramilitary massacre in Carmen de Bolívar. On August 18, 2000, alleged members of the 37th Front of the FARC-EP put a bomb in his hardware store in the town plaza, which was triggered while his niece was present with two of her school friends. Experienced the forced disappearance of four of her sisters: Yenny Patricia (22 years old), Monica Liliana (19 years old), Nelsy Milena (19 years old), and Maria Nelly (13 years old), who where abducted from her house in the municipality of La Dorada (San Miguel, department of Putumayo) by paramilitaries from the Central Bolívar Block on January 1, 2001. Founder of the Resistance Process of the Enchanted Valley (Proceso de Resistencia del Valle Encantado in spanish) (1998) within the context of the INCORA Land restitution process in the department of Córdoba. She has encouraged women to resist and prevent the recruitment of their children and delegitimize the actions of armed groups in the region. - Jineth Bedoya
Colombian journalist, victim of sexual violence, in 2000, when she served as a journalist for El Espectador researching the history of weapons trafficking that involved both the police and paramilitaries, which made her a military target and resulted in countless threats against her life. - Luz Marina Cuchumbé
Mother of the teenager Hortensia Cuchumbé, a 17 year-old who was murdered on January 8, 2006, which according to the CINEP, was allegedly perpetrated by troops from the Cacique Pigoanza Battalion of the National Army in Belén, in the municipality of Inzá, in the department of Cauca. A member of the fourth delegation of victims of the armed conflict who met with the national government and FARC-EP delegations on November 11, 2014.
- Wilfredo Landa Caicedo
Leader of the Rescate Las Varas community in San Luis Robles who has suffered threats since 2007 for his social work and for not allowing illegal armed groups to enter the Community Board to appropriate resources from international development assistance projects. A member of the fourth delegation of victims of the armed conflict who met with the national government and FARC-EP delegations on November 11, 2014.

Coordinator and legal representative of the People’s Femenine Organization (OFP in spanish) of the Mid Magdalena.

Leader of the Nasa group. Survivor of an accident with antipersonnel mines that happened in 2005, in the Fortul municipality. Victim of forced displacement because of threats and the murder of her family members. Some of her siblings were murdered allegedly by the FARC-EP and paramitaries. Nora has worked with LGBTI community members who have suffered forced displacement, sexual abuse, massacres and kidnappings in the context of the conflict. - Alberto Tarache Niño
Was subjected to threats by the FARC-EP because in his job as a mechanic he had to attend members of the AUC paramilitary group. After being fired from his job, he was ilegally recruited by the AUC as a minor, where he served from the age of 13 to 17. - Tulio Murillo Ávila
Was (substitute) commander of the 9th Front of FARC, known by his nom-de-guerre Alonso or Chamizo. On July 15, 2005, he was detained by troops from the Army’s 4th Brigade. Murillo claims to be the victim of torture inside the prision, accusing the directors of the prison as the responsible parties, a complaint he filed before the Public Defense. A member of the fourth and fifth delegations of victims of the armed conflict who met with the national government and FARC-EP delegations on November 11 and December 16, 2014.

Son of Ricardo Villa Salcedo, renowned penal lawyer and human rights deffender, an supporter of the democratic left, a journalist, a social activist, a student leader, and a political leader of the Liberal Party and of the M-19 Democratic Alliance. He was councilman of Santa Marta, deputy of the Magdalena department, and in his later years, Senator of the Republic. He was murdered by paramilitaries on December 23, 1992. - María Susana Portela Lozada
Mayor of Florencia, Caquetá (2012-2015). Bachelor in economics, mother of two. While serving as a representative, on December 9, 2002, she was among the victims of an attack by the Teófilo Forero Column of the FARC-EP. She received seven bullet injuries. Member of the Communist Youth of Colombia (JUCO), founder of the UniPaz Student Network (Red UniPaz Estudiantil in spanish) and member of the Youth Assembly for Peace (Asamblea Jóvenes por la Paz in spanish). He was also coordinator of the youth section for the Alternative Democratic Opposition party (Polo Democrátco Alternativo in Spanish) from 2005 to 2008, Coordinator for the Participation and Awareness area of the Catalan Commission for Refugee Aid, and Coordinator for the Migration and Citizenship Sector of the Catalan Initiative for the Catalan Green Party (ICV). - Juan Manuel Hernández Sosa
Victim of a car bomb in San Vicente del Caguán that gave him severe injuries, including the loss of his right eye. Juan Manuel is currently retired from the army, lives in Valledupar and works for a foundation dedicated to assisting soldiers wounded in combat. - Domingo Tovar Arrieta
Union leader and president of the Unitary Workers’ Center (CUT in spanish) from 2012 to 2013. He has been the victim of threats, displacement, arbitrary detention and attacks from different armed actors since 1988, forcing him to leave the country. A member of the fifth delegation of victims of the armed conflict who met with the national government and FARC-EP delegations on December 16, 2014.
- Sister Gloria Cecilia Londoño
A woman of the cloth who lived and worked beside Sister Yolanda Cerón for several years, sharing her ideals and experiencing first-hand the impact of her murder. Sister Yolanda was a nun at the head of Tumaco’s Social Ministry who dedicated her life to the struggle over land titles within the afro-Colombian and indigenous communities, and who was radically opposed the arrival of illegal groups and their disputes over land and drug trafficking. Yolanda was murdered on September 19, 2001 in Tumaco by paramilitaries of the Southern Liberators Block. Leader of the Common Action Board of Tambo, Cauca. Rrepresentative of the peasants and leader of the collective reparations process for the National Association of Peasant Land Users (ANUC in spanish). He was a victim of displacement caused by different armed groups. He has appeared on lists of people to be eliminated and has been the victim of several murder attempts. Was kidnapped by paramilitaries in 1999. Since 2000, she has taken precautionary measures with the Inter-American Human Rights Court. She was exiled to Canada due to threats against her and her family. She still receives threats from different groups that oppose her political positions. Was one of the people kidnapped in the first mass kidnapping that the ELN did in the middle of a Sunday mass at La María Church in the city of Cali, along with her husband and their two children, who were 10 and 13 years old. Her youngest son was released immediatily, the other one 15 days later, and six months later, Isabella and her husband were released. In 1986, he was elected as an alternate deputy for the Patriotic Union party (UP) in the House of Representatives for the department of Caquetá. He was designated as a member of the Secretariat in 1989. He served as a FARC-EP delegate at the peace summits in Venezuela and Mexico. He was First Commander of the Southern Block, leading incursions into the departments of Putumayo and Amazonas. Participated in the renegotiation process of the Final Agreement as a member of the FARC-EP delegation.

He received a bachelor’s in economics at the Universidad de Los Andes where he also did postgraduate degrees in Finance and Financial Law. He received a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University. By the age of 50, Pearl had been an associate consultant for McKinsey & Co in the United States, Venezuela and Brazil, and until september of 2006, he was President of Valorem S.A. That year, he began his public career as High Commissioner for Peace, a position he held until 2010. In December 2011, he was named Minister of the Environment and Sustainable development. Representative of the national Government in the renegotiation process with FARC-EP.

With a bachelor’s in Economics and postgraduate studies in Urban and Regional Planning and International Relations, in Colombia he has served as Minister of Work, Minister of Government, Director of the National Rehabilitation Plan, Presidential Advisor for Peace, Presidential Advisor for Defense and Security, Prime Minister of Civil Defense, Secretary General for the OAS, Director of the News Channels RCN and CM&, and Senator. Representative of the national government in the renegotiation with the FARC-EP. Participated in the renegotiation agreements. Was later designated Presidential Advisor for the Post Conflict.

A prestigious colombian penal lawyer, university teacher, judge in the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court, he was a member of the Advisory Commission for Criminal Policy hired by the Ministry of the Interior and the Justice Ministry, and later served as Minister of Justice. Representative of the national government in the renegotiation with the FARC-EP. Participated in the renegotiation agreements.
- Juan Fernando Cristo
A lawyer with a long history in the public sector, he was the Private Secretary in charge of the Economic Development Ministry, Consul in Caracas, Presidential Advisor for Communications, a Congressman and a defender of the Victims’ and Land restitution Law. He also served as Minister of the Interior and then representative of the national government in the renegotiation with the FARC-EP. Participated in the renegotiation agreements.
- María Ángela Holguín Cuellar
Political Scientist with postgraduate degrees in Public Management and in Administrative Institutions, Diplomacy and Strategy. She was private secretary for the Attorney General, director of the Latin American branch of the Worldview International Foundation and the Andean Development Corporation. She built a long career in diplomacy and international relations as Chief of Cabinet for the Ministry of International Relations, as ambassador to Venezuela to address the UN and the chancellor. Representative of the national government in the renegotiation process with the FARC-EP. Participated in the renegotiation agreements.

Chief of the FARC-EP’s foreign affairs, also known as the “FARC’s chancellor.” He joined the FARC-EP after serving as a member of the Patriotic Union party where he was a candidate for the municipal council of Frontino, Antioquia. He joined the 34th Front and was later dispatched to Casa Verde in 1986 for training. In 2011, he was deputized as a reserve member of the Secretariat, a member of the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central) and a member of the FARC-EP’s International Commission. Participated in the renegotiation process of the Final Agreement as a member of the FARC-EP delegation.

He began as a member of the Communist Youth of Colombia (JUCO) in the city of Cali in the 1970s, then joined the FARC-EP’s urban networks in the 1980s. Later, he became a member of the Secretariat’s “body of assistantships.” In the 1990s, he began working in the FARC-EP’s foreign affairs and settled in Mexico. He became a member of the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central) and the FARC-EP’s International Commission. Participated in the renegotiation process of the Final Agreement as a member of the FARC-EP delegation.
- Seuxis Paucias Hernández Solarte (Jesús Santrich)
Joining the FARC-EP’s 19th Front in the late 1980s, he then became a member of its directorate. He was in charge propaganda work and was the former director of the radio station “Voice of the Resistance” (Voz de la Resistencia) for the Caribbean Block. He was present for the launch of the Bolivarian Movement in 2000 at the Caguán demilitarized zone. He was a member of the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central). Participated in the renegotiation process of the Final Agreement as a member of the FARC-EP delegation.
- Milton de Jesús Toncel Redondo (Joaquín Gómez)
A member of the the Communist Youth of Colombia (JUCO) and of the National High School Student Union (UNES), he then left the country for the Soviet Union. Upon his return, he joined the FARC as a political cadre from the Colombian Communist Party (PCC) in 1981. As a result of the 1984 peace agreements, he joined the Patriotic Union party and began organizing in areas influenced by the 1st and 16th Fronts. He participated in the Caguán peace negotiations from 1999 to 2002. He was deputized as a reserve member of the Secretariat in 2003 and as a full member in 2008. He was a member of the Secretariat, the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central) and was in charge of the Southern Block. Participated in the renegotiation process of the Final Agreement as a member of the FARC-EP delegation.
- Julián Gallo Cubillos (Carlos Antonio Lozada)
A member of the the Communist Youth of Colombia (JUCO), he joined the FARC-EP in 1983 through the Colombian Communist Party. In 1987, he became chief of the Antonio Nariño Urban Network (RUAN). He participated in the negotiations at el Caguán that took place from 1999-2002. He was a member of the Secretariat, a member of the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central) and military commander of the Eastern Block. He participated in the renegotiation process of the Final Agreement as a member of the FARC-EP delegation.
- Pablo Catatumbo Torres Victoria (Pablo Catatumbo)
He Joined the FARC-EP in the late 70s. As chief of the 31st Front, in 1991 he was appointed by the Simón Bolivar Coordinated Guerillas (CBSB) as a representative of the FARC-EP for the peace talks in Caracas, Venezuela. He participated in the Caguán peace negotiations during the 1999-2002 period. A member of the Secretariat and the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central), he coordinated the Western Joint Command (the “Alfonso Cano Block”) and was in charge of the Bolivarian Movement for a New Colombia. Participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the FARC-EP. Participated in the renegotiation process of the Final Agreement as a member of the FARC-EP delegation.
- José Lisandro Lascarro (Pastor Alape)
A member of the Communist Youth of Colombia (JUCO) in Puerto Berrío, Antioquia, he joined FARC’s 12th front in 1981, and in 1986, he was sent as a political cadre to the Hernando González Acosta School. He then proceeded to join Jacobo Arenas’ personal guard, receiving political training; he returned to the Hernando González Acosta School as an instructor. After his time in the 45th and 52nd Fronts, in 1992 he was commissioned by the FARC-EP’s Secretariat to evaluate the situation in the department of Cundinamarca as the key axis for a Strategic Deployment Centre. In June of the same year, he recommended the creation of several more fronts that could be able to siege the capital (Bogotá). He was a member of the Secretariat and the Central General Staff (Estado Mayor Central) and was in charge of the Mid Magdalena Block. He participated at the Negotiating Table as a plenipotentiary representative of the FARC-EP. Participated in the renegotiation process of the Final Agreement as a member of the FARC-EP delegation.

A highly experienced Cuban diplomat with a political education, he was the cuban ambassador to Colombia beginning in 2010 and recieved the Boyacá Cross for his efforts in negotiating the peace agreement.
