On August 8 and 9, 2022, at the Tequendama Hotel, in the city of Bogotá, the Truth Commission held the meeting “Truth and Non-Repetition: Legacy for Colombia and for Transitional justice in the World” as a closing with the international community. It was a space for gratitude and for recounting the learnings of this State entity during its mandate, which remain as advances in Colombia’s Transitional Justice for the world. As the fourth activity of the second day of the meeting, the official presentation of the Follow-up and Monitoring Committee for the Implementation of the recommendations delivered by the Truth Commission was carried out, with its report on June 28, 2022, who presented “The recommendations for non-repetition and its implementation”: Members: Esther Marina Gallego Zapata, lawyer and master in Human Rights, National Coordinator of the Pacific Route of Women; Armando Wouriyú Valbuena, Wayuú Leader, member of the ONIC, Secretary of the Special High Level Instance of Ethnic Peoples for the Final Peace Agreement; Dorys Ardila Muñoz, Master in Public International Law, member of the Colombian Truth Table; Julia Eva Cogollo Cabarcas, Afro leader of the Caribbean Cimarrona Route, social psychologist and specialist in comprehensive protection of human rights defenders; Wilson de Jesús Castañeda, political scientist and doctor of philosophy, director of the Caribbean Affirmative Corporation; Marco Alberto Romero, public administrator, specialist in legal-political institutions and public law, director of CODHES, and Angelika Rettberg, professor at the Department of Political Science at the Universidad de los Andes, expert in conflict resolution.
