Video from the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, corresponding to the fourth comprehensive report on the status of the implementation of the Final Agreement in Colombia entitled “Three years after the signing of the Final Agreement in Colombia: Moving towards a territorial transformation. December 2018 to November 2019″. In this video, “Point by point: The Status of Peace Agreement implementation in Colombia. Point 2: Political Participation. A democratic opportunity to build peace. Implementation of point two offers a historic opportunity to build a more inclusive democracy in Colombia, since its purpose is to address political exclusion, one of the main causes of armed conflict and one of the most significant hurdles to eradicating violence. The Agreement promotes democratic mechanisms for citizen participation at the local and national level, acknowledging, among others, the voices of social organizations, women, youth and ethnic communities. They present how is the implementation of point 2 progressing, as well as its challenges and opportunities.
