ALCANCE Y CONTENIDO

Video from the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, with key messages on the fifth report on the implementation of the “Final Agreement in Colombia: “The Colombian final agreement in the era of COVID-19: Institutional and citizen ownership is key to implementation. (December 2019 – November 2020)”. They state that, in 2020, the Colombia Peace Agreement faced many challenges, including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; intensifying violent confrontations in some territories; and continuous attacks against the life and integrity of social leaders, human right defenders, and individuals in the process of Reincorporation. However, even in the midst of these challenges, the fourth year of implementation also brought new opportunities in the territories where numerous leaders formulated municipal and departmental development plans aligned with the Final Agreement. Implementation of the Agreement has continued, and it is more important than ever to build ownership in the peace process among Colombian citizens and institutions across the country.
