She joined the FARC in the early 1990s. She began as a courier for the Secretariat and 19th Front. She was the ideologue for the Joint Central and Western Command. Coordinator and head of clandestine work and infiltration in universities in Bogotá, Neiva, Ibagué, and Pereira. Responsible for organizing and directing the political activities of the Central Joint Command fronts. Before being called to the “delegation,” she was a member of the Central Joint Command’s Command Structure. Very close to Alfonso Cano and Pablo Catatumbo. She participated at the Negotiation Table as a FARC-EP delegate. Member of the Gender Subcommittee of the FARC-EP Delegation. Formally recognized as a representative member of the FARC-EP for the peace talks through Resolution No. 092 of April 3, 2013. Member of the Gender Subcommittee of the FARC-EP Delegation.
