French diplomat and expert in peace processes and mediation. He was a delegate of the United Nations secretary-general and led the group of international delegates that met with the Negotiation Table. He also met with the Technical Subcommittee for Ending the Conflict to discuss issues related to the Monitoring and Verification Mechanism. He was the Head of the United Nations Political Mission in Colombia, mandated to verify the laying down of arms and the reintegration of the FARC-EP, as well as the implementation of security measures and compliance with the sanctions to be imposed by the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP).
