Signing of the bilateral and definitive ceasefire and cessation of hostilities

On August 26, 2016, President Juan Manuel Santos, in the presence of his ministers and negotiating team, signed Decree 1386 of 2016, which ordered the bilateral and Definitive Ceasefire and Cessation of Hostilities between the national government and the FARC-EP. This took place two days after the official conclusion of the Negotiation Table in Havana.
