Catalina Díaz

She studied law at the Universidad del Rosario and earned a master’s degree in public interest law from New York University and in sociology from the University of Oxford. She worked as a lawyer with the Colombian Commission of Jurists, at the International Center for Transitional justice (2005–2010), and as the director of transitional justice at the Ministry of Justice and Law (2012–2017), where she contributed to developing the legal framework for the Comprehensive System for Truth, Justice, Reparation, and Non-Recurrence. She participated in the discussion phase as part of the technical team of the Ministry of Justice and contributed to point 5 on victims’ rights. She was a member of the Gender Subcommittee of the Government delegation.
