Darío Fajardo

Darío Fajardo Montaña is an anthropologist from the National University of Colombia, with a postgraduate degree in Latin American History from the University of California in the United States. He is a researcher specializing in topics related to the Colombian countryside, agrarian policies, food security, rural development, land rights, peasant reserve zones, agrarian reform, and economic studies. He has taught at numerous universities in Colombia (including the National University, Javeriana University, University of Antioquia, Universidad de los Andes, Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia, and Externado University) as well as in Latin America (Autonomous Latin American University – Mexico – and the National University of La Plata – Argentina). He supported the Peace Talks Table in the discussions on agrarian issues and the solution to the problem of illicit drugs. He was also a member of the group of experts, academics, and historians that formed the Historical Commission on the Conflict and its Victims.
