Body established in Point 2 of the Final Agreement to promote reconciliation and peaceful coexistence in Colombia. Its main function is to foster dialogue, citizen participation, and building a culture of peace, aiming to overcome divisions and promoting reconciliation in all spheres of society. This body is composed of representatives of the government; the Public Ministry; those designated by political parties and movements; organizations and social movements, in particular of women; campesinos; business associations; ethnic minorities; churches, religious denominations or organizations, and faith-based organizations; and educational organizations, among others. The council designs a program for reconciliation, coexistence, and prevention of stigmatization together with the territorial entities established in Point 2.2.4 of the Final Agreement.
