Judicial mechanism of the Comprehensive Peace System. Its main aim is to investigate and try crimes perpetrated due to, on the occasion of, or directly or indirectly related to the armed conflict. The JEP will operate for 15 years, which may be extended for an additional five years. It began its mandate in 2018.
