Vicente Torrijos holds a Master’s degree in Political Studies, completed postgraduate studies in Advanced International Studies, pursued doctoral studies in International Relations, and concluded his postdoctoral fellowship in Strategic Affairs, Security, and Defense. He is a Full Professor at the Colombian Superior War College (Escuela Superior de Guerra) and an Adjunct Professor at the National Defense University – W. J. Perry Center, based in Washington, D.C. He was a member of the group of experts, academics, and historians who formed the Historical Commission on the Conflict and Its Victims. He was also a prominent advocate of the “No” campaign and participated in meetings with the Government on November 1, 2016.
