He was the commander (substitute) of the FARC’s 9th Front and known by the aliases of “Alonso” and “Chamizo.” He stated he was a victim of torture inside the prison, accusing the prison directors of being responsible for these acts. He made this complaint to the Ombudsperson’s Office. He was a member of the fourth and fifth delegations of armed conflict victims and met with the national government and FARC-EP delegations on November 11, 2014, and December 16, 2014.
